The Novella Pinafore and The Story.

Before I went on my sewing break a few weeks ago I joined in on the testing of two of the patterns that are part of the new Lounge Library collection over at Project Run and Play.

Teapot and Lindell

My plan of taking a little break from pattern testing only lastet for a day or two. I simply couldn’t resist the temptation when the tester call came from E&E patterns. At some point I might have to admit that I have an addiction.

The beautiful Flora the first

I really don’t understand what happened but I forgot to hit publish on this post last weekend and only remembered when I came back to my WordPress to write about Flora the second!  Is old age catching up to me or what?!

The Mira Dress Blog Tour

Man, was I stoked when Heidi asked if I wanted to join in on The Mira dress blog tour!  I had to read the email a few times to be sure I was understanding it correctly.  To answer no was not an option in my mind so here I am sharing my lovely Mira dress.  If you read or at least scroll to the end you’ll find a special coupon code to E & E Patterns

The Festivity Dress

Here is Anitas Christmas dress finally on the blog!

I made this dress back in November when it was in testing, but then I had to kick all the Christmas preparations in high gear and never got around to give it the proper blog post it deserves.

There is a new dress pattern in town – the Skola Dress and Top

Elegance and Elephants just released a new girls pattern for a knit dress/top just in time for back to school.  I got to be in her amazing team of testers.  This pattern was just perfect from the start.

The Mori Dress and Top

Have you seen the new pattern that was just release by Elegance and Elephants, The Mori Dress and Top?

I was so extremely lucky to be one of the testers for Heidi for her new pattern and man what a great group of testers!  It was so fun seeing all the beautiful dresses and tops popping up in our Facebook group.  Such an inspiration!

I made both a dress and a top.  Lets start with the dress.

The Ponderosa Dress

Alrighty then, lets talk about a pink dress yet again shall we!
Anita basically only wants to wear dresses and even though they are usually very cute they aren’t all that practical on cold days in kindergarten.  But I guess long sleeved knit dresses are the best option for those situations, and I have made a few so far even though I haven’t posted them all here.
So today that’s the kind I want to show you!

This is the Ponderosa Dress, a pattern by Elegance & Elephants.  Which was one of the first sewing blogs I started to follow.  I love her patterns and I have sewn up quite a few of them by now, the bubble pocket shorts are one of my favorites and I plan on making some more of those again for Anita before sommer hits us.
Like all of E&E’s patterns everything is spot on, pattern pieces come together easily and the instructions are great.  The only thing that was a bit tricky with this one was the neck binding and that was mostly I think because my old sewing machine couldn’t handle all those layers at ones.  But now I have a brand new machine so I’m sure it will go much better next time around!
I made Anita a size 4 and the fit is spot on.
Of course we need some dance moves!
The fabric is from Art Gallery called Orni which I ordered from Imagine Gnats.  I couldn’t find it on her site now so I guess it is sold out there.  The stripy fabric I got at my local fabric store, Kreaktiv.
I asked her to smile but I’m not quite sure what she thinks she is doing here.
Most of our photos from this photo shot were like this and the more
I told her to smile the worse it got!
I guess she is a bit out of practice after our winter hibernation!
And then there was Noi – our photobomber!
Finally daddy came along and made a funny face and all was good!
Love
Dagbjört.
